1. Introduction

TankTorq is a local companion application for electric scooters developed by Zhejiang E-TWOW Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. Core features include: Pair the device by scanning the device's QR code or searching for nearby Bluetooth signals, issue control instructions to the electric scooter via Bluetooth, collect and display device operation data, read the phone's local upgrade file and transfer it to the device to complete component upgrades, and modify the device password.

This application does not require an account registration and does not need to be connected to the Internet throughout the process. All data is stored locally on your mobile device and does not interact with any servers, including developer servers. By downloading, installing or using this application, you are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to all the terms of this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is intended to provide you with a comprehensive explanation of the specific ways in which data is collected, used, stored and protected and your related rights. If you do not agree, please do not use this application.

2. Instructions for Permission Usage

This application only requests necessary permissions to achieve the above core functions:

Location permissions	Assist in scanning nearby electric scooters via Bluetooth (some Android systems require location permission support for Bluetooth scanning)	For optimizing Bluetooth search range only to help you quickly find connected scooters around you, not for location tracking, location analysis, or other services unrelated to scooter connection. Location information is used temporarily only and will be deleted immediately after the search is completed

3. Data Collection and Processing

3.1 Scope of Collection (Local collection only, no online uploads)

This application strictly adheres to the "minimum sufficient" principle and collects the following local data related to functionality only after you have granted permission. Unrelated data such as personal identity information and mobile phone system information are not collected:

• Related to Bluetooth pairing: Bluetooth device identifier (MAC address) of the electric scooter, device serial number (for local identification of paired devices only, not associated with personal identity);
• QR code scanning related: Device matching information after QR code parsing (for one-time pairing only, invalid immediately after parsing);
• Location-related: Temporary geographical location information of the device (for Bluetooth search optimization only, automatically deleted after the search ends);
• Device operation data: Real-time operation data uploaded on the electric scooter (including remaining battery power, current speed, cumulative mileage, single mileage, motor temperature, battery temperature, current, voltage, fault code, component working status, etc., only for in-app display and active data saved by the user, saved data is stored in a fixed folder on the phone and not uploaded to the server);
• Operation and configuration data: Device parameters you set through the application (such as speed limit, light mode), encrypted stored device passwords, read records of local upgrade files (for transfer verification only, do not store the upgrade files themselves).

3.2 Data Storage and Transfer

• Storage method: All collected data is stored locally on your mobile phone.
• Transmission restrictions: This app has no network access throughout and does not upload any data (including device data, operation data, permission-related data) to developer servers, third-party platforms, or other devices. All data interactions occur only between your phone and the electric scooter and are transmitted via Bluetooth encryption protocol.
• Data retention period:
  • Device pairing information, encrypted stored device passwords, custom device parameters: Stored for a long time until you voluntarily unbind your device or uninstall this application;
  • Device operation data: You can choose to store or not store, you can choose the storage location, and you can clear it manually through in-app features;
  • Location information, QR code parsing results: Delete immediately after use, no cache retained;
  • Upgrade file transmission-related: Cache the file verification information only temporarily during the transfer process, and clear the cache automatically after the transfer is completed.

3.3 Data Sharing and Disclosure

• This application will not share, transfer or disclose any of your data to any third party (including developers, partners, advertisers, etc.);

4. User Rights

You have full control over all data stored locally and can exercise this right by the following means, which this app does not set any obstacles to exercise:

• Access: View real-time data through the in-app "Vehicle Parameters" page and pair device information and custom parameters through the "Vehicle Configuration" page; Display Charts of current real-time data via Vehicle Charts, save data via your self-selected Recode, save data in csv format on your mobile phone;
• Modification rights: Use app features to modify device parameters, reset device passwords, and unpair existing devices; Modify permission authorization status through the device 'Settings - Applications - TankTorq - permissions';
• Right to delete:
  • a. Manually clear device runtime history data and unbind devices (remove pairing information) through in-app features;
  • b. Manually clear the application cache, remove temporarily stored upgrade file verification information, location cache, etc.
  • c. After uninstalling this application, all locally stored data (including pairing information, device passwords, operation data, etc.) will be automatically and completely deleted without any residue.
• Withdrawal of consent: You can turn off Bluetooth, camera, or location permissions at any time through device permission Settings. After the withdrawal of authorization, the app will immediately stop collecting related data and the stored data will be usable (unless the function depends on that permission).

5. Data Security Protection

We use industry-standard security measures to ensure the security of data throughout the entire process of collection, storage, and transmission:

• Transfer security: Bluetooth communication between the phone and the electric scooter uses a dedicated encryption protocol, and data integrity checks are upgraded during file transfer to prevent file tampering or transfer errors;
• Permissions Control: Only temporarily activate the corresponding permissions when a specific function is triggered (such as activating camera permissions when scanning a QR code), and release the permissions immediately after the function is completed without continuous occupation in the background;
• Access restrictions: This app only reads the scooter component upgrade files you manually specified (in a specific format and directory), and does not access irrelevant data such as phone albums, contacts, text messages, call records, etc.

6. Policy Update

If this Privacy Policy needs to be updated due to changes in Google PLAY platform policies, revisions of relevant laws and regulations, or iterations of application features, we will notify you in the following ways:

• A prominent pop-up window will appear when the application starts, clearly informing you of the new policy and reserving historical versions for your reference;
• By continuing to use the app, you are deemed to have accepted the updated policy terms and their effective dates;

The "About - Privacy Policy" page within the app is updated simultaneously; If you do not agree, you can stop using this app.
